About Greenway

Marcus Bell started Greenway in 2015 with one mower and a trailer. He had been working for a bigger outfit doing commercial grounds and got tired of mowing car parks. The first season was eleven lawns in Clintonville and a lot of driving.

Eleven years on there are four of us and two trucks, and we look after around 180 regular lawn customers. Tasha Odum and Luis Carranza run the two crews. Dana Whitlock runs the office, which in practice means Dana runs the company and Marcus runs a mower.

We are insured and carry a two million dollar liability policy. We will send the certificate to your HOA or your property manager if they ask, and we have the forms most of them want already filled in.

We use battery mowers on the residential routes where the lot allows it. It started because a customer on a narrow street asked and it carried on because the crew will not go back. The petrol machines come out for the big lots and for the cleanups.

What we are not

We are not a full service landscape company and we do not want to be. No design, no planting plans, no tree work, no irrigation, no chemical programmes, no snow. Four people doing six things properly beats four people doing fifteen things while apologising. If what you need is outside that list we will tell you on the first call and we will not pretend otherwise to keep you talking.

We do not have a showroom and we do not take walk ins at the yard. The yard is a yard. Everything is arranged on the phone, by text, or by email.
