Questions people ask
Do you do snow removal in winter?
No. We do not do snow removal, tree removal or irrigation. Every December somebody asks and the answer has been no since 2015. We do not know anybody good either, so please do not ask for a name.
How much is weekly mowing?
45 to 75 dollars per visit for lots up to a quarter acre, 75 to 120 dollars for a quarter to half an acre. Over half an acre we price on site. A site visit sets the final number.
Do you serve my address?
We serve 43085, 43201, 43202, 43214, 43220, 43221, 43235 and 43240 and nothing else. Westerville 43081 and Dublin 43017 are both outside the area even though 43081 is right next to 43085.
Do I need to be home for the estimate?
Yes, for the first visit, so we can walk the yard together. It takes about an hour. After that, no.
How do I get a quote?
Book a free estimate visit, Monday to Friday between 8 am and 4 pm. The written quote arrives by email the next working day and it is good for thirty days.
What time are you open?
The office answers the phone from 7 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon on weekdays. On Saturday somebody is usually in the office until 1 pm, because that is when the crew brings the trucks back and the paperwork gets done. Sunday nobody is there at all.
What happens if it rains?
The visit moves to the next available working day at no charge and we text you the new day. Mowing skips a week when the ground is waterlogged, because a mower on a wet lawn does more harm than a week of growth.
Can I pause my mowing while I am away?
Yes, with a week's notice. Tell the office the dates. We do not charge for the skipped weeks and we do not give the slot away.
What is the difference between mulch installation and a mulch top up?
Installation is the full job, 85 to 110 dollars a cubic yard, with the beds edged and cleaned out. A top up is a thin coat over mulch that is still there, 55 to 70 dollars a cubic yard, no edging, and only for existing mowing customers. If you are not sure which you want, you want the installation.
Do you give a discount for paying the season up front?
No. We do not run any discounts.
Can I just have the leaves done?
Leaf work is part of the spring or fall cleanup and is not priced on its own. The cleanup is 250 to 600 dollars and the leaves are in it.
Are you insured?
Yes, two million dollars liability, and we will send you the certificate if your HOA asks for it.
