Seasonal notes
What the crew is doing right now and what is worth booking. We update this when we remember to.
Spring 2025 signups
Posted 14 March 2025. Spring signups for the 2025 mowing season close on 4 April. We have three slots left on the Clintonville route and two in Worthington, and after that the book is full until somebody moves house. If you are on the list from last year you do not need to do anything, we will start the week of 7 April weather allowing.
Mulch is going in from the last week of March. Order before the end of March and you get the spring rate, which is the same as the normal rate, we just want to spread the deliveries out.
Leaf season
Posted 2 October 2025. The first leaf pass starts 13 October. We do two passes on most lots and a third in November for the big maples, and the fall cleanup price covers all of them. Put the bins out the night before if you can.
Aeration and overseed is finishing up in the next fortnight. If you want it this year, ring now, because after the middle of the month the seed will not take before the frost.
Hardscape in autumn
Posted 2 October 2025. Patio and walkway work carries on until the ground goes hard, usually the first week of December. A patio booked now would start in about three weeks. We stop taking new hardscape bookings on 15 November and start again in March.
Winter
Posted 2 October 2025. We shut the mowing routes down after the last cleanup, usually mid December, and the office goes to reduced hours. We do not plough and we do not salt. Hardscape quotes get written through the winter for a spring start.
